Well it’s my Mum & Dads wedding anniversary next week. It would have been 54 years come March 3rd, but as I’ll be in the middle of a flit, I won’t be internetting. So here they are in their prime, Grace Muir Robinson and Alexander Walker Hamilton.
It was 53 years ago today that Grace Muir Robinson married Alexander Walker Hamilton.
Of course, they’re both dead, but that doesn’t mean I won’t raise a glass.
Here are my Mum and Dad on their wedding day, 3rd March 1961 at the Ettrick Lodge Hotel in Edinburgh. A bit of a family mystery, but none of my Mums family were there, and some didn’t find out till well after the event. Relatives may enquire as to my theory. Pictured, left to right are Aunt Cath Muirhead, (not a real aunt), her husband, Molly (my Dads sister), Dad, Mum, Betty Kelly (later Betty Graham) who was matron of honour, and my Uncle Phil (not a real uncle) McCluskey, the best man.
